Town Board reorganizes, appoints new deputy supervisor and clerk

NY HOPE — Hope Town Board reorganizes for 2026 with multiple new appointments and meeting schedule changes. Supervisor Steven Tomlinson oversaw the election of Dianna Downing as Deputy Supervisor, reappointment of Robin Wilson as Town Clerk at $20,000 annually, appointment of Derek Vandenburg as Deputy Highway Superintendent, and Fred Midgley as Town Historian. Board members voted unanimously to change regular meeting times from 7 p.m. to 6 p.m., maintaining the second Monday schedule.
The Board authorized Highway Superintendent Zachery Colson to spend up to $2,000 without prior board approval, set travel allowance at $0.725 per mile, and approved the Hope/Benson Transfer Station contract and a cooperative agreement with Hamilton County for assessment purposes.
